Something new
Writing is something that I love to do and It seems like I am always doing what I love to do trying to build my name up and get it out there. Writing is exciting and it presents you with lots of opportunities to voice your opinions, write about what means the most to you, express yourself like you can’t verbally, and even…. make a good living at your leisure.
Only what happens, when you do something you love so much you eventually find yourself burnt out and not loving it anymore? How do you get excited about what you love again and find that passion for it that was once fierce and raging?
Taking a step back for a week or two, even a month, is the best way to re-kindle that love/hate relationship we writers have with our craft. I often myself dreading to do any kind of writing, so I procrastinate and try to wait till the last possible moment to write something that needs written. When I find myself feeling this way, I know it’s time to step back for awhile and get awa, spend some time with my kids, do something for me and even take time to super clean my house.
Other writers have other ways that they choose to take time away, it just all depends on the writer. A lot of writers will take time enough away to read a book or two, then start writing again; if it works for you, do it.
Don’t ever give up because you get burnt out, stay positive and keep rolling with the punches. I’ve been paying my dues for the last ten years and it seems like finally I’m starting to break down some walls and see my dream unfolding right before my eyes.
One Good Deed
I wanted to share this with everyone…
Yesterday I received a blessing, it was such a surprise that I was left speachless. Even as I write this, I’m still blown away because things like this just don’t happen everyday. I was getting gas and the cashier was having difficulty getting my card to work, when out of the blue, a man from behind me stepped forward and told the cashier to give me ten dollars worth of gas.
At first, I was so taken aback that I didn’t know what else to say but, “Are you sure?” and the man replied, “Yes of course. don’t worry about it.”
I told the man “Thank you.” and went to pump my gas. After I was finished pumping my gas, I was still in a stuper. For some reason I just didn’t know how to react. I felt bad, then guilty, then I don’t know… I just felt odd about it. I kep thinking, “am I supposed to feel bad when someone does something nice for me?” I felt bad because what if it had taken something away from him, what if he really needed it; these where the things going through my mind.
Finally, later on in the day, I figured that instead of thinking negatively about it, I would make it a positive. I would give back to someone like what had been done for me. The good man upstairs must have known that I really didn’t have the money to put gas in my car… because I was only going to use my last three dollars to get gas… but look at what happened, I got enough gas for me to finish out the week till I got paid.
Things like this don’t happen everyday. People have gotten greedier, tighter with their money (no thanks to the economy) and just a lot more stingeir and selfish.
But what if we could change that? What if we could make it a point to do at least one good deed a day? Take a ten dollar bill and mark it then give it to someone to help them out and tell them to pass it on to someone else who might need it. Do you think fate would come back to find you one day?

Funny story
Today was possibly the wierdest day ever. My son, who i have been trying to potty train, decided suddenly that he doesnt like pull-ups so much. So, I laid him down for a nap; just like any other day. Shortly after I went to lay him down, I heard him playing so I sent my oldest daughter to check on him… I was in the middle of working on an article… when I hear her calling me. I set everything down and go to his room. I don’t know if I was more shocked or stupified by the site I saw.
There he was stark naked playing with his poop. He had managed to successfully smear it from one end of his room to the other. He was taking his cars and trying to make them ride through a “hill” of nothing more than poop. Okay, so we all hear poop stories of young kids, he’s 2, and so I’m sure just another kid poop story to you; but what’s really funny here is that he’s got a “Cars” rug (after Cars the movie) and he was making his cars race down the track full of “mud”
(his poop) and sitting there going, “Vroom Vroom” the whole time.
After I had got the mess finally cleaned up; he even had it up in the windowcill with poopy cars sitting there, to my surprise, yet again, he wasnt finished. Not even thirty minutes later, I find him back in his room stark naked again, peeing on the carpet.
I didn’t know if I wanted to cry or laugh! Everyone I know has told me that boys are harder to potty train, and after two girls, I am beginning to believe this. I only hope that tomorrow goes better.
Thanks for listening to my story, now I’m going to investigate ways to break my child from doing such filthy things and potty train successfully; any tips?
Life and Venting
Lately it seems like we all are struggling to make ends meet in times that aren’t so happy and fulfilling, only to find we’re working hard and getting nothing in return. While one can’t complain, it’s work, it still leaves room to wonder… what else could I be doing with my time to make more money?
I sit up most nights racking my brain trying to figure out how to make extra money to do things with my family. It seems like all we do is work and pay bills. We don’t usually buy anything extra, we’re making just enough money to pay our bills and get groceries, that’s it! My insomnia haunts me and I find myself thinking, “Self, why can’t I figure out what hundreds of other people have to make a stellar income, what am I doing wrong?” I’m a writer, it’s what I do, but I’m having such a hard time breaking into the writing world, it makes me wonder why I even try.
There’s so much slush on the internet that it makes searching for anything worth searching an unbearable task. One can easily become frustrated and just say, “Hell with it!” I know most times I want to, but research is something I’m good at; just putting to good use is often hard. I’ll never understand why there are more scams online then there are legit services and products. But the truth is that scams circulate the internet like a wildfire ravaging the the entire US. Yes, it’s sad, what can we do about it; absolutely nothing.
So for the time being I’m going to vent here and give information on various topics that might help someone else out there learn about things such as adsense, marketing, blogging, sales, growing business’, finding information that’s legit, etc…
I want to give information and help others figure things out with informative resources and blogs that will keep one from having to deal with scams and slush. Eventually, I’ll be composing a monthly newsletter with tips, how-to’s, resources and informative articles; input, comments and advice is accepted. If you know something I don’t, always let me know… working together is what makes what we writers do a success.
